Problem is, -> after I connect to another ax25 station (via the connect -> command in the mb), each character I type gets sent out over -> the ax25 interface. The corresponding station does not know -> what to do with all my single character madness. This raises -> a couple of questions I would appreciate some input on: Try to set your WinDoze stuff so that it sends stuff line-at-a-time, insteaf of chracter-at-a-time. I'm not at all sure whether that can be accomplished, though..It seems the WinDoze winsock stuff just doesn't take into account that anyone might want to use it on a slow radio network... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 73 de Mike, ax.25net: N6KUY@W6JBT.#SOCA.CA.USA.NOAM amprnet: n6kuy@n6kuy.ampr.org [44.18.0.49] internet : mwestfal@silicon.csci.csusb.edu Linux: the Gates of Hell shall not prevail. My windows telnet is xmiting each character to jnos, and this in turn is getting put on the ax25 interface (each character). Should the windows software xmit one character at a time, or should it wait until I hit enter (cr) and xmit an entire packet of text ? I am using the Trumpet winsock, and its pretty current. Please advise and tnx. 73 de Bill, kd5lu - kd5lu.ampr.org ------------------------------------- E-mail: abernat@metronet.com Date: 09/18/94 Time: 21:54:15 ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Sep 94 10:39:00 edt From: Adminstrator Subject: Mail failure To: dayhub!3445a!ucsd.edu!TCP-Group@prowler.daytonoh.NCR.COM User mail received addressed to the following unknown addresses: GPPGDAYTON/GPPGPOST/lshannon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Return-Path: Received: from prowler.daytonoh.ncr.com by gppgpost.daytonoh.ncr.com id <2E843A07@gppgpost.daytonoh.ncr.com>; Sat, 24 Sep 94 10:39:03 edt Received: by prowler.daytonoh.ncr.com; 24 Sep 94 10:27:12 EDT Received: by dayhub.DaytonOH.NCR.COM; 24 Sep 94 10:27:02 EDT Received: by 3445a.DaytonOH.NCR.COM; 24 Sep 94 10:27:38 EDT id AA780417164 Sat, 24 Sep 94 10:32:44 EST Date: Sat, 24 Sep 94 10:32:44 EST From: TCP-Group@ucsd.edu Message-Id: <9408247804.AA780417164@WPDSMTP.DaytonOH.NCR.COM> To: tcp-group-digest@ucsd.edu Subject: TCP-Group Digest V94 #211 Large message has been converted into an attachment. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Sep 94 08:11:10 PDT From: kd5lu@kd5lu.ampr.org Subject: test To: tcp-group@ucsd.edu test ------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Sep 1994 15:44:29 -0700 (PDT) From: joe cira To: tcp-group@ucsd.edu unsubcribe US AMATEUR RADIO |sysop of the HAM*INFO*LINK*SOURCE BBS| KB6AXK | at 1-818-584-1952,joe cira | PASADENA,CAL,91107| kb6axk@netcom.com | ------------------------------ End of TCP-Group Digest V94 #212 ******************************
